TOPIC OF THE SEMINAR
The seminar will focus on fire protection of wooden roof structures with a focus on the use of fire protection coatings. The project of the new concept of security and fire protection of the Water Mill in Slup will also be presented. The seminar will also include a professional excursion dedicated to the national cultural monument – the Water Mill in Slup and a demonstration of the activities of the Slup Volunteer Fire Brigade. The seminar will also include a working meeting of the members of the Commission for Safety in Museums.
PROGRAMME
Confirmed lecturers, who focus on fire protection of historic roof trusses and fire protection coatings, include Ing. Irena Kučerová, Ph.D., Ing. Pavel Jirásek, Ing. Michal Roubíček, Ing. arch. Ondřej Šefců and also representatives of the Fire Brigade.
Transportation from Technical Museum in Brno to the village of Slup is provided for the participants of the seminar by a historical bus.
The detailed programme of the seminar will be published at the beginning of June.
REGISTRATION AND FEES
The seminar is primarily intended for museum staff, conservationists and specialists involved in fire protection. Interested persons can register via the registration form on the MCC website by 12 June 2025. The seminar is limited to 40 persons for capacity reasons. The participation fee of CZK 300 covers the costs of organising the conference. An invoice will be issued based on the billing information provided.
