The Arte-fakt Association cordially invites you to its traditional specialist conference, which is dedicated to current issues in the restoration and conservation of cultural heritage. Restoration practice is constantly evolving. Alongside tried-and-tested methods, new materials, digital tools, advanced analytical survey methods and innovative approaches to intervention are emerging. At the same time, we are increasingly encountering objects that transcend the boundaries of traditional categories and require new approaches to their conservation.
The forthcoming conference will focus on the points where experience meets experimentation, tradition meets innovation, and the restorer’s intuition meets the latest scientific findings. We are seeking papers presenting unconventional materials, unusual conservation challenges, new technologies, interdisciplinary collaboration and bold solutions that expand the possibilities of our field. Come and share your experiences, inspire others and discuss where conservation is heading in the 21st century.

- Presentation format: oral; a poster session will also be available in the hall
- Presentation duration: 15 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion

INFORMATION FOR SPEAKERS
- Deadline for abstract submissions: 30 September 2026 to info@arte-fakt.cz
- Format of abstracts: in both Czech and English, 200–400 words each
- Upon acceptance of their abstracts, presenters will be invited to submit a full paper.
- A conference proceedings volume will be published.
- Expected deadline for submission of papers for the proceedings: 15 December 2026
- Format of papers: in Czech (English), up to 10 standard pages, up to 10 photographic and graphic attachments, with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi; do not format the text
- We would like to have the conference proceedings ready by the start of the conference, so please ensure that abstracts and papers are submitted on time in accordance with the deadlines stated.
- Speakers are exempt from the registration fee and will receive a free copy of the proceedings.
