INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AND CULTURAL HERITAGE CONSERVATION
Qualitative progress in heritage conservation, linked to the application of new scientific knowledge in its protection, is a daily reality. Currently available research methods are advancing our understanding and knowledge of the properties and behavior of materials, as well as the aging processes of heritage objects. A highly interdisciplinary approach is a fundamental prerequisite for understanding the significance of heritage within its broad context of time and space, which is linked to the proper setting of priorities and the assurance of effective and efficient protection.
The aim of the CSTI 2026 conference is to present new and innovative approaches to the protection and restoration of movable and immovable cultural heritage, as well as research and survey methods, with an emphasis on an interdisciplinary approach.
