EUROPEAN DAYS OF CONSERVATION–RESTORATION 2025
The Commission of Conservators-Restorers of the Association of Museums and Galleries of the Czech Republic will participate in the European Days of Conservation-Restoration, which will take place during the week of October 13-19, 2025. The aim of this Europe-wide event, which was first announced in 2018 by the European Confederation of Conservator-Restorers’ Organizations (ECCO), is to highlight the importance of the profession of conservators-restorers in the preservation and conservation of cultural heritage. The aim is to present to the public not only interesting projects, but also the knowledge and specific skills, new technologies, and high international standards required to perform this profession. To highlight that conservation-restoration is an important interdisciplinary discipline that also contributes to the development of research and innovation and has a direct impact on sustainable tourism and related economic indicators. During the celebrations, the general public has a unique opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of conservation-restoration work, which is usually hidden from the eyes of ordinary visitors.
How to participate
