Forum for conservator-restorers

The Forum for Conservator-Restorers is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Technical Museum in Brno, featuring original articles and reviews dealing with cultural heritage preservation from various perspectives. As the journal is prepared by the Methodological Center for Conservation in cooperation with the Commission of Conservators-Restorers of the Czech Association of Museums and Galleries, special attention is paid primarily to the care of collection items in memory institutions. The main thematic areas focus on material and technological research, mechanisms of damage, conservation-restoration interventions, preventive conservation, and new methods and means in the field of cultural heritage protection. It also deals with issues of history, theory, and ethics of conservation-restoration. The aim of the journal is also to provide examples of good practice with methodological overlap.
